Today’s special guest is a new friend. I met him though the Vinnie Tortorich No Sugars No Grains FB group. I have to be honest. I know little about our guest. But we get to know him better today on the show. I do know, that the little bits I do know of him are huge. If that make sense. What we get to find out today is not just about the man, his background both athletically and not, but also something super exciting about what he is set to do. Carlos is set to do the Grand To Grand Ultra, which comprises of 6 stages, 7 days, self supported foot race, of 170 miles (273 km).
Find out about Carlos’ journey in endurance, health, weight loss, and nutrition.

Stay tuned to the podcast for Part 2. Thanks for listening!
Mark Thomson is a cool, athletic, talented, very smart friend, and return special guest to the podcast, who wanted to do his part in Runner Sunday. Despite not being in or around Pennsylvania to he planned a virtual run out of his home in Auckland, New Zealand. More than running a 5k or 10k route, he made it an adventure, which involved first kayaking approximately 10k from Mission Bay to Rangitoto Island. Listen to the podcast and find out from Mark how it all went. Plus learn what he had for breakfast, how he fueled throughout, the conditions, and how he felt. We also discussed tons more from adventure racing, Oscar Chalupsky, farting sparrows, floating gin palaces, and busking. Check it out, enjoy the conversation, and thanks for listening!
I really enjoyed listening to this show. The content was great. The guest, Tony Portera is an interesting guy. I like the fact that the host is willing to talk about his training and fitness. It is really cool to hear how everyday folks do what they do. Keep up the good work!
